At the moment we do not have any physicians accepting new patients. Please call the switchboard at 204-728-4440 and they will put your name on a list.
Patient Privacy is of the utmost importance to us. All staff has signed a Confidentiality Pledge with our clinic. Staff is regularly educated on PHIA. You should be comfortable providing your health information to us, knowing it is held in the strictest confidence.
We do not give out the name of the physician working the walk-in beforehand.
We cannot give out wait times for walk-in. Times will depend on what each person is seeing the physician for. Some visits take longer than others. The clinic does have 2 physicians treating walk-in patients during the day. One doctor is at the main clinic and one doctor is at Brandon Clinic West (2835 Victoria Ave).
Our walk-in only schedules appointments when you present in person and does not make use of the telephone to accept or register patients. This is to ensure we can maintain a first come, first served order to the walk-in clinic.
We prefer to keep our walk-in focused on acute and immediate issues. Because of this we will not do routine physical examinations in our walk-in. Tasks such as paperwork, forms, removal of stitches will be at the discretion of the practicing physician.
An uninsured service is a service provided by the physician that is not covered under Manitoba Health. Sick notes, driver’s medicals, parking permits, Twinrix vaccinations, attending physician statements and chart transfers are some examples.
Uninsured services must be paid at the time the service is rendered. Forms completed by the physician will not be sent to the requesting company or released to the patient until the service has been paid for. At the Brandon Clinic we accept Cash, Debit, Master Card, Visa and Cheque.
If you are unable to attend an appointment we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We will take into consideration emergency situations. The clinic policy is as follows: 24 hours notice is required to cancel your appointment or a fee will be charged.
NOTE: IMMIGRATION MEDICALS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
If you have seen your family doctor within 3 months, please have your pharmacy fax us a request for refills. This will only be done for family patients at the discretion of the physician, and must be requested from the pharmacy by you. The Clinic/ Doctor cannot call the pharmacy for you.
No. The receptionist will contact you if it is necessary that you schedule a follow up appointment with your physician with regards to results. We do not do this over the phone because your person and confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. It is also important that both you and your physician discuss your condition with regards to your results in order to ensure both of you have a full understanding of your medical situation. Only your doctor can answer your questions fully. If a follow up appointment is required to review results, it may be because a diagnosis needs to be discussed or clarified. There may be something that needs to be re-tested or you may need further testing. The doctor always has your best interest in mind.
