Brandon Clinic Medical Corporation would like to announce the upcoming retirement of Dr. Vasconcelos on April 30th, 2011. Dr Vasconcelos would like to take this opportunity to let the patients and physicians of Western Manitoba know his appreciation for the opportunity to provide care and service over the many years.

New Physicians Joining the Brandon Clinic

We welcome Dr S. Santdasani to the Brandon Clinic. He is a general practitioner and will be working out of station 2. Call 571-7131 or 571-7132 for appointments.

Dr. L. Akintola is an OB/Gyn. He will be working from station 5. Appointments will be by referral only. Please fax referral to 726-1765.

Coming in late February will be a general practitioner who will be working from station 2. His name is Dr. A. Tissera. Please call 571-7131 or 571-7132 to book an appointment.

Dr G. Edward will be joining the physicians April 1st. He is a general practitioner who has previously practiced in Brandon . More details to follow.

Dr. Liesel Moller will be away on maternity leave April 1st to August 31st. Congratulations Dr Moller!
Dr. Uys' practice is closed and she is no longer accepting new patients.

Urologist and Obs/Gyn Update

The Brandon Clinic has a new contract with an Urologist and an Obs/Gyn. They are undergoing the assessment process at this time. We will be updating in the summer of 2010 when they will be available for practise.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. E.C. Benade will be joining the Dept of Family Practice in November 2009. Dr. Benade took her medical training in South Africa and is just finishing up the required assessment and licensure in Manitoba prior to her start in November. Dr. S. Saba will be joining the Brandon Clinic Medical Corporation. Her specialty is obstetrics and gynaecology. Dr Saba is coming from the Western Medical Clinic in Brandon and will start her practice here on December 1st, 2008. We are taking appointments through station 6, 571-7135. The Clinic is looking forward to Dr Saba joining the team with her expertise and skills.

New Orthopedic Surgeon

We are pleased to advise that the Brandon Clinic Medical Corporation has hired Dr. Lewis Samuels, an Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Samuels will be joining the Brandon Clinic around the end of January 2008. Dr. Samuels has special interest and training in total hip replacements as well as other general orthopedic procedures. He is presently in Australia finishing off a fellowship there that includes hip replacements. Dr. Samuels is a Manitoba trained Orthopod who has come from the University of Manitoba program. We are extremely excited about his arrival and bringing his many skills and expertise to serve the Westman area. We are presently taking appointments for Dr. Samuels through Station # 9 BUT it is by referral only. You need to have your Family Physician send a letter to his attention and we will schedule based on the situation your physician details. Watch for more announcements of his arrival!
