Brandon Clinic Updates

Last updated: May 25, 2020

Starting Tuesday May 26th, all patients presenting to the clinic for lab work only are to use the North Entrance via McTavish Avenue until further notice.  Dynacare patients will be screened at the north door before entering the facility. (This is a temporary change).

Please have your Manitoba Health Card ready.

All patients with scheduled appointments will continue to be screened at the South Entrance.

Manitobans experiencing flu or cold-like symptoms no longer require a referral from Health Links–Info Santé or their family physician before heading to a community site for COVID-19 testing. Anyone with symptoms is still encouraged to use the online screening tool to determine whether they meet the necessary criteria to be tested.

NOTE: Screening criteria are intended to supplement clinical judgement, not supersede it.

Individuals who screen positive for one symptom listed in category A OR two symptoms in category B should be considered symptomatic.

Category A:

Do you have new onset of any of the following symptoms?

• Fever > 38°C or subjective fever / chills

• Cough

• Sore Throat / hoarse voice

• Shortness of Breath/Breathing Difficulties

• Loss of Smell or Taste

• Vomiting or Diarrhea for more than 24 hours

• Poor Feeding (if an Infant)

Category B:

Do you have new onset of two or more of the following symptoms?

• Runny nose

• Muscle aches

• Fatigue

• Conjunctivitis

• Headache

• Skin rash of unknown cause

• Nausea or loss of appetite

If you are concerned about any symptoms you may be experiencing, please call and schedule a virtual visit with you family physician.

Symptomatic health care workers (staff and physicians) and first responders, including volunteer first responders (police, fire and paramedics) may self-refer to a testing site for COVID-19 without calling OESH or Health Links-Info Santé in advance, provided they meet the screening criteria. Upon arrival at the COVID-19 testing location, they shall self-declare as a Health Care Worker or First Responder to the greeter and present their work ID. Additional information for health care workers and first responders who are self-isolating due to symptoms and who are awaiting test results is available by referring to

Brandon's testing site is located at The Town Center - 800 Rosser Avenue
