Dr Onita has joined the Brandon Clinic in the Family Practice Department at Station Two. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI) – RCSI, a member of Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) – UK. PG Cert. Advanced Surgical Practice – University of Cardiff and has a diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) – RCOG.
Dr Ratnaparkhe has joined the Brandon Clinic as a specialist in Nephrology and Hypertension. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University (Grenada). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Adult Nephrology at the University of Toronto. He then completed further focused training in Palliative Renal Care, also at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ratnaparkhe is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and is certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He also holds American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Prior to joining the Brandon Clinic, Dr. Ratnaparkhe has practiced in Ottawa and Winnipeg.
Dr. Ratnaparkhe is now accepting referrals for patients with renal concerns, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetic nephropathy, glomerular and interstitial diseases, complex hypertension, kidney stone prevention, renovascular disease, acid-base and electrolyte disorders, and hereditary kidney diseases. Dr. Mbuyu Bushidi, MD, FRCPC is joining the Department of Cardiology.
Dr. Bushidi completed his medical Degree at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) then specialized in Internal Medicine at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and in Cardiology at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa). He acquired extensive cardiology practice experience in South Africa before moving to Canada in 2013. He has Royal College of Physicians of Canada Fellowships in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He will be seeing patients on a referral basis only.
Dr. Bushidi’s practice will focus on Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Monitoring and investigations (Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Event Loop Monitoring, Holter Monitoring, Stress ECG, Permanent Pacemaker devices implantation and management), in addition to consultation on patients with cardiovascular conditions.
