Virtual Appointments

Following the lead of other jurisdictions, provincial authorities confirmed important details on providing virtual care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

New guidelines were issued by provincial authorities that recommend the use of virtual care as part of the “protective self-separation” measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Brandon Clinic physicians are now offering these types of virtual visits to our patients by phone, and in some cases by video conference. Our physicians are also sending out messages to patients via LibreMD Patient Portal.

If you have any questions about virtual visits and the LibreMD patient portal, please contact your physicians office and arrangements can be made.

Google DUO

Google Duo is a free app that works on both Apple and Android devices.

If your physician has contacted you and as asked to set up a video conference appointment using Google Duo all you need to do is download the app from either the Apple app store or the Google Play store.

There is also a web based version of Google Duo which can be set up HERE.

What do I need for a Video Conference?

Smartphone or Tablet  - WiFi connection, download the the app and follow the install instructions.

Laptop or Macbook - WiFi or Network connection, microphone, speakers and a camera. (Most laptops and macbooks already have these installed)

Desktop Computer - WiFi or Network connection, webcam, speakers and a microphone.
